The Passion Project (PP) team, Foundation, and its associated Centre of Excellence are dedicated to the collective mission to help make the world a fairer place – one that supports full social and financial inclusion – with no one left behind.
In support of this vision, the Passion Project has committed to developing a new economic impact index that clearly demonstrates the positive difference this can make to the lives of all that live in the UK and beyond. In the process, we will encourage the support and participation of all where possible and vigorously promote to the business sector and lobby those in policymaking.
The index will measure the socio-economic value to society of having a human health and well-being focused index instead of one purely driven and measured by productivity and output.
We believe that putting people first will lead to healthier and happier people who will in turn be more productive, innovative, and far less costly to the nation’s budget than the system in place at present.
This will not happen overnight, but by implementing a series of initiatives, products, and services over time, alongside a growing book of evidence evaluated by some of the brightest academic and economic minds over time, we will begin to gather supporters to the vision and build more significant influence.
Recent activity supporting this includes the establishment of a range of UK pilots, including three new social impact bond-related activities, the design of an impact-driven accreditation process for our partner network and proposed supply chain, the establishment of a partner membership program, alongside an Environmental, Social, and Governance working group.
